Marcus Rashford wants to become the Red Devils Captain

Marcus Rashford has stated that he “does not actively consider” captaining Manchester United. But he is is eager to do so at some point in the future.

Bruno Fernandes just became Manchester United’s new captain, succeeding Harry Maguire. Maguire lost the armband due to his difficulties during the 2022-23 season.

When questioned about the best personality he had ever met at the club, Rashford praised Zlatan Ibrahimovic before contemplating the possibility of becoming Red Devils captain in the future.

“I’d say Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] is the best personality I’ve shared a dressing room with,” Rashford told The Overlap. “How he is with the players is how he is with the fans, no matter where he goes.”

“Whether he’s doing interviews or not, he’s a top guy.” At a club like Manchester United, I believe you must [accept responsibility].

“Even if you’re a young player, you have to rise to the occasion.”
“You can show why you play for Manchester Utd.” Being a Manchester Utd player isn’t easy.

“If you do, you’re a good footballer and you play there for a reason.”
“I don’t consciously consider it (the leadership), but if the opportunity arose, I would take it.”
