Bayern Munich prepare new contract offer for Lucas Hernandez

In spite of suffering a cruciate ligament injury in France’s World Cup opener against Australia, Munich is reportedly willing to offer Lucas Hernandez a new contract.

Before the World Cup, negotiations between Hernández and the Reds had already started, and “an agreement seemed imminent,” according to the Bild. The Bavarians has confidence in the defender who can play both centrally and at left-back since the Bavarian’s attitude hasn’t changed despite his injury.

A contract extension for Hernández, whose present one expires in 2024, is probably forthcoming. With an acquisition price of €80 million from Atletico Madrid in 2019, Hernández is Munich’s most expensive acquisition.
