Chelsea FC is trying to sign Joao Felix in January

Chelsea FC could be in for a massive January transfer window, with Joao Felix reportedly on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea FC is stepping up their efforts to sign players for Graham Potter in January. Also, they have turned their attention to the Portuguese Youngstar Joao Felix. With Armando Broja out until the end of the season, a new void in the squad must be filled.

Aubameyang who is 33, has only scored one league goal this season. While Kai Havertz has yet to score a league goal with his feet. Broja had only one, but he had played much less and was frequently used as a substitute.

With Todd Boehly also attempting to sign new defenders and midfielders, there is a need for less expensive options. Therefore, solutions are to be used in order to spread the cost of a major squad overhaul.

One method is to use the loan market, and Atletico Madrid star Felix is the man in the spotlight.

Felix was a long-term target for the Benfia Football Club. But he moved to Atletico Madrid in 2019 for more than £100 million. He was a promising teenager, but he has only scored 33 goals in three seasons in Spain. While on the other side he has struggled in Diego Simeone’s largely defensive system.
