Benjamin Pavard Transfer: Inter Milan and Bayern Munich reached an agreement for the French Defender.

Benjamin Pavard set to join Inter Milan?

Benjamin Pavard is about to depart Bayern Munich for Inter Milan after the two teams signed an agreement. The versatile defender was in the final year of his contract with the Bavarian giants and made no secret of his desire to go. Manchester United had earlier stated that Pavard was a priority signing should Harry Maguire’s move to West Ham United be finalized. Maguire’s move to the Hammers, though, fell through.

Inter Milan pounced quickly and reached a personal deal with Pavard, who declared his desire to join the Nerazzurri. When it was revealed that Inter center-back Milan Skriniar could join PSG during the winter transfer window, the Serie A side tried to entice the France international back in January. Bayern turned down the suggestion. Now, it looks like Thomas Tuchel’s side has decided to cut ties with France’s 2018 World Cup winner. According to L’Equipe, the Bundesliga champions have accepted Inter’s €30 million proposal, plus an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses for the French center-back, who can also play right-back.

However, Bayern must now find a replacement for Pavard before permitting him to join the Serie A club. Since his €35 million move from VFB Stuttgart in 2019, the former Lille youth product has appeared 163 times for Bayern, earning four Bundesliga titles and the 2020 Champions League triumph.

Benjamin Pavard transfer to Manchester United failed

Manchester United are now looking for a defender to replace Harry Maguire, who has agreed to join West Ham.

Erik Ten Hag saw the French international as a strong match for his team and made him an offer.

According to recent rumors, their first transfer bid for Pavad was rejected by the Bundesliga giants.

Erik ten Hag’s short list included the Frenchman as good replacement for Maguire. The Red Devils made a formal offer to sign him; however, Bayern rejected it.

United and Pavard have already discussed a prospective transfer, although the Red Devils’ offer has yet to be accepted.

Pavard’s current contract expires in one year. Bayern Munich may choose to sell him as he wants to leave the club.

Prior to a probable transfer, the player has already agreed to personal terms and is keen to join United.

However, Thomas Tuchel wants to keep Pavard as his squad prepares to begin their title fight next week.

In Bavaria, the Frenchman has won four German championships, a Champions League, and a German Cup, among other things.
