Chelsea FC will sell Kai Havertz for at least £75 million. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested in the midfielder.

Chelsea FC to sell Havertz

The 23-year-old German has already informed the Blues that he wishes to quit the club. The midfielder is unlikely to renew his contract, which expires in June 2025.

According to The Guardian, Havertz wants to buy Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich might compete with Madrid.

Last season, the midfielder has 7 goals and 1 assist in 35 Premier League appearances.

According to Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, Kai Havertz has informed Chelsea that he wishes to quit the club and maybe join Real Madrid.

Earlier in the day, it was claimed that Chelsea had urged Havertz to either extend his contract, which expires in 2025, or be sold when the transfer market opens on July 1st. The German appears to have chosen option 2.

Real Madrid has showed the most interest in signing Havertz from Chelsea, with various rumors linking the winger to the club.

If Chelsea drives a hard bargain for its attacker, signing the 23-year-old might cost Los Blancos up to £75 million.

Havertz, on the other hand, has made up his mind. He aspires to play for Real Madrid the next season.

Chelsea FC to Sell Havertz to Real Madrid as the German not willing to extend his contract

Chelsea striker Kai Havertz has informed the club administration of his wish to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, despite the appointment of new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

According to The Guardian, Havertz has informed Chelsea officials that he wishes to leave this summer for a new challenge.

Havertz is unwilling to wait and see if Pochettino’s arrival at Chelsea changes his circumstances.

He is one of several Chelsea players were in link with transfers ahead of the summer transfer season.

Chelsea’s owners are aiming to generate revenue through sales and trim the squad size after spending almost £600 million on new arrivals in the previous two transfer windows. The club finished 12th in the Premier League last season.

When he signed a £72 million contract with Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020, Havertz was one of Europe’s most exciting talents. But the 23-year-old has been inconsistent at the club.

Following the departure of Karim Benzema, the Germany international has attracted interest from Real Madrid. He has only scored 32 goals in 139 games for Chelsea.

Havertz has two years remaining on his contract but has said that he has no intention of signing an extension, implying that Chelsea will most likely comply to his requests and authorize his exit if a good offer is received.
