Bayern Munich wants to extend Jamal Musiala’s contract as soon as possible. “Jamal is an important building block for FC Bayern’s future,” CEO Oliver Kahn said in Sport Bild.

Bayern Munich in talks to extend Musiala’s contract beyond 2026

Despite Germany’s first-ever group-stage elimination, Musiala was the team’s standout performer. It has since become clear that the 19-year-old is the future of both the German national team and Bayern Munich should he stay.

The midfielder has scored more Bundesliga goals than any other teammate this season. Musiala’s current contract expires in 2026 and includes a number of clauses that recognize his accomplishments.

Bayern wants to extend the young player’s contract soon despite the fact that it still has four years to run. The club is aware of the numerous teams keeping an eye on Musiala and is aware that he can be a crucial member of the team for at least the ensuing ten years.

Hasan Salihamidi, sporting director at Bayern, said to Bild: “Of course, we told his mom Carolin and his management before the World Cup that we are very satisfied with Jamal and let them know that we want to sit down with them after the World Cup to talk about Jamal’s future at FC Bayern.”
