The club will file a formal complaint against a knife-wielding man who threatened a young player from FC Nantes’ training facility at halftime of the Gambardella Cup quarter-final against AS Monaco. L’Équipe reports on this.
A conflict involving around twenty individuals occurred during halftime of the match, which took place on Sunday at the Marcel-Saupin stadium. Unknown reasons may have led to the beating and knife threat of a young athlete from the training facility. Before the police appear to take charge of the situation, the player got safety from management team. Before the cops came, the knife-wielding attacker had already departed the stadium.
Despite the fact that the player initially elected not to press charges, Nantes administration has declared that they would file a complaint against the attacker. “FC Nantes condemns such acts, which have no place at a football stadium,” the club said in a statement posted on Tuesday.
