Juve announced in a short statement that Italy international Gatti had signed a new contract “until 30 June 2028,” which is worth 1.5 million euros per season, according to Italian media.

The 25-year-old worked as a bricklayer and other blue-collar jobs while rising through the ranks, becoming a professional player in Italy’s third division only three years ago.

“Every morning on my way to training I pass by the house where I grew up and where my family and my grandfather lived,” Gatti said.

“Seeing it makes me think back.” I was 20 years old when I started leaving home for football, and I never imagined I’d return to Turin.

The contract extension of Federico Gatti until June 30, 2028 has been announced by Juventus with pleasure.

Joining the team the following summer after being signed in January 2022, Fede quickly became a valued member of the group because of his exceptional work ethic and humility.

Gatti has gradually evolved into a player who, after just over a year, is now indispensable to the team, both on and off the field.

His desire to improve is eternal, and his progress is continuous: his recent performances are a perfect example of this, having scored in the Derby before putting in a monster performance against Milan on Sunday.

The Juventus number four has three goals in Bianconero, and no other Italian central defender in Serie A has scored more goals in all competitions since his Juve debut.

In terms of defensive value, no Juventus defender was dribbled past fewer times than Fede (0.26 per game, only 9 dribbles conceded in 34 games) during the same time period.
