Florentino Perez, Real Madrid president allegedly intends to try to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho in the future.

Florentino Perez wants to bring Garnacho in Real Madrid

Garnacho has already spent time in the city, having played with Atletico Madrid from 2015 to 2020 as a kid.

However, the 19-year-old has spent his entire senior career at Old Trafford, where he has established himself as an important player.

In 74 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists, with five strikes and three assists coming this season in the Premier League.

Regardless of whether Erik ten Hag continues in charge, there is a notion that the Argentina international is viewed as a long-term member of the group.

That is partly due to Garnacho having penned a contract extension as recently as last April, tying him to the Red Devils until the end of the 2027-28 campaign.

Nevertheless, with his development on an upward trajectory, Garnacho is always going to be linked with a future move to another top European club.

Florentino Perez is reportedly very interested in signing Garnacho

According to Real Madrid Exclusivo, Perez wants that team to be Real Madrid once Garnacho has entered his twenties.

The report claims that Perez and fellow Los Blancos officials have already been watching Garnacho’s performances with the view of trying to sign him in one of the upcoming transfer windows.

Perez is thought to be eager to speak with Garnacho when Real Madrid travels to Manchester for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 match next month.

It’s unclear whether any informal talks will take place, as Garnacho is expected to be preoccupied with his and United’s preparations for an FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City later that week.

An offer from the club is improbable, given Real’s present priority on getting the services of Kylian Mbappe to join the likes of Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.

That being said, Garnacho’s previous experience with the city may eventually benefit Real’s pursuit, even though they would face the prospect of paying a large amount to get a player who has the potential.

However, Garnacho’s previous experience in the city may eventually help Real’s quest, despite the fact that they would have to pay a high sum to get a player with the potential to become United’s most valuable asset.
