According to Calciomercato.com, the 16-year-old will sign the contract today at Casa Milan, which will be for three years.

That is the longest contract a player of his age can sign under the new rules, which take effect on July 1.

Camarda had been with the club since he was a toddler. It was assumed that once he turned 16, he would sign a professional contract. Instead, there was a breakdown in negotiations, particularly involving his representatives.

The new contract is anticipated to pay him €500,000 each season. Milan believes this is adequate compensation for a player who has broken every scoring record in the minor divisions.

Camarda is the youngest-ever Serie A player, having made his debut against Fiorentina in 2023/24 at the age of 15, and he scored twice in the U17 European Championship final this week.

Borussia Dortmund attempted to sign Camarda during the contract saga, but he will be the focal point of the U23 side next season and is anticipated to play occasionally for the first squad.

Francesco Camarda ‘nearing his senior debut’

Francesco Camarda, AC Milan’s youthful superstar, is ready for a future with his childhood club. After months of waiting and conjecture, he has finally taken the next step in his contract.

According to prior reports by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 16-year-old centre-forward signed a new contract with Rossoneri club management today.

According to reports, despite multiple offers from other overseas clubs, the teenager preferred to stay with Milan. Camarda’s new deal with the Rossoneri will continue until the summer of 2027.
