According to Fabrizio Romano, Atlético and Valencia have agreed on the transfer of central defender Gabriel Paulista.
The Brazilian footballer has terminated his contract with Valencia early and will join Atlético on a free transfer. His contract with “Bats” was set to expire this summer.
Atlético has signed a 33-year-old Brazilian to replace Çağlar Söyüncü, who has moved to Fenerbahçe on loan until the end of the season.
Gabriel Paulista has made 18 appearances in La Liga this season. He has been with Valencia since 2017, playing 220 games and scoring 8 goals.
Gabriel played two seasons for Arsenal and Villarreal prior to joining Valencia.
