Graham Potter, former Chelsea manager has turned down the opportunity to succeed Laurent Blanc as manager of Olympique Lyonnais.

Lyon are now bottom of Ligue 1 and have lost all four games this season. Blanc has only one point, and Les Gones fell 4-1 at home to Paris Saint-Germain, eliciting an angry response from the ‘Bad Gones’ ultras and increasing pressure on Blanc’s career. Blanc was reportedly hanging by a thread after that setback, according to L’Équipe.
Lyon appears to be making steps to replace the Frenchman. L’Équipe claimed on Wednesday night that Lyon had approached Potter, who has been unemployed since his sacking from Chelsea. This summer, the English manager drew interest from Ligue 1 rivals OGC Nice, but Les Aiglons ultimately chose Francesco Farioli.
According to The Athletic, Graham Potter will not be joining Lyon either. John Textor identified him as the top target, but Potter concluded it was not the right moment for him to take over at the club.
