Granada fired coach Paco Lopez on Sunday, with the team currently ranked 19th in La Liga.

Granada were defeated 3-1 at relegation rivals Alaves on Friday. The club fired him for one win in 14 league games this season, leaving them two points from safety.

Lopez led Granada back to La Liga after being appointed in November 2022.

“The club thanks Paco Lopez, the coach who brought us back to La Liga, for his dedication, effort and commitment from the first day, and wishes him the best in his personal and professional future,” the club stated in a statement.
