Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris, the veteran Goalkeeper of Tottenham Hotspur is ready to depart the North London club after eleven years in goal, according to L’Equipe.

The Nice youth product is presently out till the end of the season after tearing a tendon during Tottenham’s 6-1 thrashing of Newcastle. On that day, the 36-year-old might have played his 447th and last game for the Spurs.

Last week, Le Parisien reported that the former France captain had received a hefty offer from Saudi Arabia. Lloris is under contract with Tottenham until 2024. But as of reports that the Premier League club will enable him to weigh his alternatives.

According to the reports, Hugo Lloris was psychologically weary following the 2022 World Cup.

Former Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte allegedly urged Lloris to return to training on December 24th. Conte refused Lloris to training only six days after France’s final defeat to Argentina.

As of rumors, Lloris does not have any plans to retire. But it appears that he will swap teams this summer.

Spurs may gain from this, since the North London club is looking for a young goalie.

It remains to be seen if Lloris will be enticed by Saudi Arabia’s wealth or seek a fresh challenge in the United States or Europe. A return to Ligue 1 is not unthinkable.
