Blaugrana won La Liga with four matches to spare. The won the title after defeating rivals Espanyol 4-2 in the Barcelona derby on Sunday night.

Within the first 20 minutes of the derby, Barcelona was two goals up, with Alejandro Balde setting up Robert Lewandowski for the opener in the 11th minute, before the former got his name on the scoresheet by converting a cross from Pedri, leaving Espanyol with a mountain to climb in the league.
In 40th minute, Lewandowski made it 3-0 by tapping a low Raphinha cross. Jules Kounde made it four early in the second half by nodding into the net from a deep Frenkie de Jong ball.
The relegation-threatened Espanyol responded with Javi Puado scoring in the 74th minute. But it was always going to be too little, too late for the hosts, who added a second in stoppage time via Joselu.
Barcelona underperformed yet again in Europe this season, failing to advance past the group stage of the Champions League before falling to Manchester United in the Europa League elimination phase playoffs, and being ousted by Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

Blaugrana currently has four pressure-free games remaining against Real Sociedad, Real Valladolid, Mallorca, and Celta Vigo. While, Espanyol still has a lot to play. They are currently 19th in the league, four points below the safety of 17th.
Xavi’s team are not the top scorers at this point in the season, with 64 goals to Real Madrid’s 70. In 34 games, they have only conceded 13 times, with their strong defense playing a critical role in their success.
The club will have a busy summer as it looks to enhance its lineup with new additions. They may need the bulk of players may come via the free agency market.
