Bennacer underwent surgery in Lyon on Tuesday morning to address a cartilage lesion in his right knee, according to Milan.
Bennacer has appeared in 40 games in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and assisting on two others.
Later on Tuesday, Milan will face Inter in the second leg of the semi-final at San Siro. Manchester City plays Real Madrid in the other semi-final on Wednesday, with the score tied at 1-1.
