Sadio Mane and Joao Cancelo to leave FC Bayern

Sadio Mane and Joao Cancelo do not have long-term careers at Bayern Munich. They are unlikely to stay beyond this summer.

Bayern Munich have an option to buy Cancelo from Manchester City at the conclusion of his loan stay. But they are unlikely to pay more than £60 million for the Portugal defender.

Following just a single season with Bayern, Mane is likely to get out of the club in the summer. This season Mane has scored 12 goals for the German side.

The Senegal attacker has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under new manager Thomas Tuchel. Returning to the Premier League may be his best option.

Mane has started just six of Bayern Munich’s 11 league games since returning from injury in February, scoring once, and was suspended for one game in April following an altercation with teammate Leroy Sane.

Plettenberg told to media immediately after the incident, “Right now, this is not the Sadio Mane from Liverpool.”

You can see his injury, which occurred just before the World Cup in Qatar, has affected him.

“He doesn’t have the same speed, he’s not as good at dribbling or tackling, his body language is terrible – he’s not the same happy guy.”

“That situation with Sane was a shock for the management and team-mates.
“My information is that he’s been viewed critically inside from now on because of his performances and behavior.”

“A lot of players have distanced themselves from Mane.”
“He’s a candidate for sale in the summer, he earns a high salary”
“Thomas Tuchel has no real plans to work with him next season.”

Cancelo played 36 Premier League games for City last season, but following a limited role at City this season, he joined Bayern on loan on January Transfer Deadline Day.

Cancelo earned two league titles and was twice chosen to the Premier League Team of the Year during his tenure in Manchester.

“I haven’t had much game time in the past few weeks, which influenced my decision,” the Portugal full-back stated after agreeing to the loan transfer. My relationship with Pep was rumored to be strained, but the truth was that I wanted to play more.

“I was really excited to start this new adventure at such a historic club.” It’s a fantasy for me. “I’m delighted to be here and to demonstrate my footballing abilities.”
