Jack Grealish, Manchester City Forward and legendary DJ Oliver Heldens collaborated on a virtual DJ set today.
Grealish and the Dutch electronic music mastermind built the ‘Mixing in the Metaverse’ set on the OKX Collective metaverse.
The 15-minute set was performed by Grealish and Heldens’ metahuman avatars, who have been coaching Grealish on the turntables. The concert-like experience sees the duo debut a new, exclusive collaboration track within a metaverse-built futuristic stadium.
“I’ve always loved music and have wanted to try my hand at DJing for a long time,” Jack Grealish explained.
“What I couldn’t have predicted was that my DJ debut would take place in the metaverse!”
I’m very happy to be able to share this one-of-a-kind collaboration with fans all over the OKX Collective metaverse.”
The undertaking is a superb illustration of the exchange’s distinctive immersive fan experiences, according to Haider Rafique. Haider Rafique is the Global Chief Marketing Officer at OKX.
“For our third metaverse experience with Manchester City, we step into the virtual world to watch Jack try his hand on the decks alongside a legend of the future house genre,” he continued.
“These opportunities are unique in that they bring people up close and personal with the players they admire and care about.”
Fans visiting the OKX Collective metaverse can revisit the metaverse training experience OKX launched with defender Ruben Dias. The fans can also watch a tactical masterclass by Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan. Fans can also compete for various prizes by entering competitions. The major prizes will be passes to team training, match tickets, and other items from the metaverse.
