Jude Bellingham Praises Cristiano Ronaldo

In advance of Real Madrid’s match against Barcelona this weekend, Jude Bellingham has revealed his favorite El Clasico memory.

On Saturday, the two Spanish football powerhouses will square off in the first El Clasico of the La Liga season.

Madrid leads the La Liga table with 25 points, Girona is a surprising second with the same number of points, and Barcelona is third, one point behind the leaders.

Ahead of the game, Madrid’s new superstar Bellingham revealed his favorite memory of the classic match between two of the world’s most powerful clubs.

In an interview with the Spanish news outlet RTVE, Bellingham highlighted Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic moment at the Camp Nou, when the Portuguese gestured to the crowd to calm down after scoring.

Bellingham was quoted as saying: “I will always remember Cristiano scored a goal in the Camp Nou and asked the fans to calm down.”

Jude Bellingham | the NEXT ZIDANE of Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham has had an excellent start to life as a Madrid player since joining the club in the summer.

The Englishman has 11 goals and three assists in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Bellingham said of his early-season impact, “It is a bit surprising for me to have 11 goals. However, I am being able to help my team, and the truth is, I am very happy.”

Former England striker Gary Lineker has tipped Bellingham for a new role due to his excellent goal-scoring form.

“The way he started at Real gives Gareth Southgate a great option,” he told The Sun.

“If something happens to Harry Kane – or after he is finished because Harry is now 30 – Jude could play at centre-forward, as a false nine if you like.”

“He’s now scoring poacher’s goals,” Lineker continued. He’s even doing the ‘easy’ parts I used to do! Bellingham has been playing as England’s No. 10 in recent games. He can play as a No. 8. He is probably the most complete English footballer I’ve ever seen at the age of 20.”
