Marco Verratti got suspended by LFP for additional match.
Marco Verratti now knows his sanction.
The Italian gets two games and will be able to return to Marseille in the Coupe de France next Wednesday.

Marco Verratti is no stranger to receiving a red card. However, this time it will cost him more than just a one-game suspension. The LFP Disciplinary Committee decided that Marco Verratti would be suspended for three games, but only one. Following a review of his 59th-minute red card against Reims, the LFP made such decision.

He was already absent against Montpellier and will be absent again this Saturday at home against Toulouse. Fortunately, PSG’s number 6 will be available to face Marseille in the Coupe de France round of 16. With Kylian Mbappé injured, the Paris-based club will need everyone to be at their best to compete in all three competitions during his absence.

The capital city club gained some breathing room after Lens dropped points against Nice, but they remain within striking distance. With injuries, departures, and suspensions, the club is in a precarious position in terms of roster depth. Paris has finally taken a chance on their youth, but they will need those young talents to mature quickly if they are to survive the season and advance far in the Champions League.
