Liverpool FC and Nike have unveiled the new home kit for the 2023/24 season.
The kit pays homage to Bill Shankly and the legendary Reds manager’s final season in charge at Anfield. A new version of Scotland’s iconic 1973–74 uniform is built for the upcoming campaign. That year, Scotland won the FA Cup.
Its classic design features bright Liverpool red with white contrast collar and cuffs. It will make its debut in the club’s final home game of the season against Aston Villa.
The Hillsborough Memorial logo is now visible on the back of the neck, as instead of previous years.
Following Andrew Stanley Devine’s death in July 2021, the 97-emblem was encased by the eternal flames at the nape of the neck on the inside of the shirt for the first time in this season’s kit.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson commented on the kit.
Considering the source of the design, the new home shirt is a classic. “It feels iconic and a nod to the club’s history,” he added. We’re excited to wear it at Anfield for the Villa game.”
