Los Blancos are set to relaunch their sensational pursuit of PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, with Jude Bellingham already set to sign.
Mbappe’s contract situation is uncertain. PSG is facing a potentially turbulent summer with a managerial change and the departure of both Lionel Messi and Neymar. According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid intends to take advantage of the situation by making a new bid for Mbappe.
Madrid has previously pursued the 24-year-old, most recently making a £170 million ($214 million) bid for him last summer before he agreed to new terms in Paris.
Los Blancos are said to have a deal in place for Dortmund midfielder Bellingham. As of reports, Bellingham has agreed on personal terms with the club last week.
Although they have yet to submit an official bid, reaching an agreement with the German side should not be difficult.
The report claims Real have discussed signing both Bellingham AND Mbappe in a record summer of spending to launch a new ‘Galacticos’ era.
Mbappe’s long-term future at PSG is uncertain after a spat with the club earlier this year over a season ticket promotional campaign. He has also refused to sign a long-term contract; his current contract expires at the end of next year, with a 12-month extension option.
While Madrid appears to have a deal in place for Bellingham, they could still spend big on Mbappe. Meanwhile, they are aiming for European glory, and will face Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final next Wednesday.
