Real Madrid star Luka Modric may miss three of the club’s most important matches this season. He is in doubt for the Spanish Championship final after suffering a muscle injury this week,
After coming off the bench against Girona on Tuesday, the Croatian applied ice to his thigh after experiencing significant pain.
It is uncertain whether he will play in the eleven-day-away Champions League semifinal matchup against Manchester City or not. Contrarily, there is the eight-day away Copa del Rey final against Osasuna. Due to the discomfort that has gotten worse in the past three days he is uncertain in the squad.

Modric is hoping to recover as soon as possible, but these muscle problems typically take at least a week to two weeks to recover from. He would most likely be unable to participate in either of those important matches.
He could return for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Etihad on May 17th, which is a more realistic return date. Carlo Ancelotti, on the other hand, appears to have taken a significant hit.
At the very least, Real Madrid can rely on a number of midfielders to fill in for Toni Kroos if none can match Modric’s contribution. Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Dani Ceballos are all possible replacements.
Ceballos is the most similar option Los Blancos have, with Ancelotti previously stating that he is the closest thing to the Croatian in his opinion. Valverde, Kroos, and Modric have recently started with Camavinga at left-back in big games. But he may choose to play Nacho Fernandez at left-back and move the Frenchman forward if he wants to play more cautiously against Pep Guardiola.
