The entourage of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has denied any contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible summer transfer.
Following an impressive 2022-23 season in front of goal, the 24-year-old is set to become one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers when the summer transfer window opens.

Osimhen is the Serie A Golden Boot leader, having scored 21 goals in 25 league games. He has been a notable performance in helping champions-elect Napoli go 17 points clear at the top of the table.

Since joining the Parthenopeans from Ligue 1 club Lille in the summer of 2020, the Nigeria international has scored 54 goals and provided 14 assists in 94 appearances.

Osimhen is under contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium until June 2025, but speculation about his long-term future is rampant, with a number of top European clubs showing interest.

According to a recent report, Manchester United have jumped ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Osimhen this summer. The Red Devils are reportedly sending scouts to watch the striker all season.

PSG, the French champions, have been heavily linked with Osimhen, with reports claiming that football advisor Luis Campos, who helped sign the Nigerian during his time at Lille, is keen to bring him to the Parc des Princes.

An alleged meeting between the representatives of Campos and Osimhen and PSG was planned for last month’s international break.

The striker’s entourage, on the other hand, has insisted that the rumours are “false” and that no contact has been made between himself and the Parisian giants.

As reports from Mundo Deportivo via Culture PSG, “Everything about the rumor is false,” according to Osimhen’s representatives. “It’s too early to discuss the transfer window.” At this point, many people are attempting to destabilize the situation. There isn’t anything.”

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis stated earlier this year that Osimhen is “not for sale,” and the striker has expressed his desire to play for the Italian club.

The star trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe, particularly the former, have uncertain long-term futures. PSG are likely to sign a new attacker prior to the 2023–24 season.

Messi has a year left on his contract. He is in strong link to a return to La Liga-leading Barcelona.

The Catalan giants’ well-documented financial struggles make it unclear. Whether they will be able to afford to sign Messi or any other transfer targets is the matter.

Mbappe is still in rumor to get admire at Real Madrid. Neymar is in link to Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea. Therefore, PSG are looking to sign some striking forwards beforehand.
