Mariano Díaz to leave Real Madrid CF

Mariano Daz’s tenure as a Real Madrid player is coming to an end. His time with the club since the summer of 2018, barely 14 months after leaving for Lyon, has not gone as well as he had intended. There are several ideas and viewpoints on why Mariano failed to live up to expectations despite being paid €22 million. In five years, he has appeared in 70 games, scoring seven goals and playing 2,067 minutes.

Mariano wants to complete his tenure with Real Madrid with a goal if he is given the chance to say farewell on the field before the season ends. His table is starting to fill up with offers. Several European teams have expressed interest, although it is very early in the process.

At Madrid, he developed the winning DNA that drives him to contend for trophies, but he would equally welcome an ambitious plan with the goal of long-term progress. Of course, the money component is what concerns him the least at the time. He is aware that no team will be able to match the wages he gets at Real Madrid.

La Liga clubs interests in signing the Forward

Sevilla, Valencia, Getafe, and Rayo are among the La Liga teams that have tempted him in the previous five years. The striker’s reaction was the same each time: “I want to stay at Madrid.”

Despite the fact that some of these suggestions guaranteed him a raise in pay, he used the principle “you can’t leave Madrid, they have to get rid of you.”

Even the limited opportunities he’s gotten from the four managers he’s had over the previous five years haven’t convinced him to abandon his ambition of playing for Real Madrid.
