Neymar Jr. is now playing for Saudi club Al Hilal FC.
Brazilian sensation Neymar informed Santos executives and players that he would be leaving Al-Hilal in 2025 and returning to Brazil, according to UOL Esporte, citing an unknown Santos board member.
On Sunday night, Neymar raised the Campeonato Paulista trophy to great applause, right before his childhood team Santos defeated Palmeiras 1-0 in the first leg of the Sao Paulo State Championship Final.
The 32-year-old suffered an ACL tear during Brazil’s 2-0 loss to Uruguay in October. As a result, he has not appeared in an official match since.
Prior to that, he signed a lucrative transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal. However, he only made five Pro League appearances.
Neymar is expected to return to European club football in 2024-2025. However, after completing the second year of his two-year contract in the Middle East, he apparently knows where he wants to go next.

Neymar quickly visited Santos’ Vila Belmiro locker room. He, there informed the players, “that he is returning to play in the Brazilian Championship 2025.” It was Neymar’s first club.
UOL later confirmed Neymar’s admission to a Santos board member, which matches his earlier warning to act in this manner when he visited the team last year.
If Neymar lives up to his expectations, this will be his first game back in his home nation since 2013.
That year, he also competed in the Campeonato Paulista. After joining FC Barcelona for an estimated $93 million (€86.2 million), he began his European career.
The Brazilian previously spoke with David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami, who currently has former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba on his roster. Neymar has also stated an interest in playing in the United States at some point.
