Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United will compete to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leão at the end of the season.
Luís Campos, the Sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain is preparing for the summer transfer window. PSG plans to sign additional players before the January transfer window closes next week.
Despite investing heavily in attacking players at the start of the season, most notably signing Randal Kolo Muani, Gonçalo Ramos, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, and Marco Asensio, more attacking reinforcements are on the way for next season, particularly given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s future with Les Parisiens.
Téléfoot reports that Leão, whom Campos knows from his time at Lille OSC, is on the shortlist. Les Parisiens told the Portuguese international of their interest. As a result, PSG has taken clear action to sign him before the end of the current campaign.
Leão is willing to examine the possibility. Newcastle could therefore pose a threat to the Ligue 1 winners as they are also considering signing the AC Milan forward.
