A month and a half after the contract extension, Mbappe aware PSG’s management that he’s unhappy with the club’s direction, according to The Athletic, which quoted sources from the player’s entourage and PSG.
Mbappe wished for PSG to assemble a roster capable of competing for the Champions League. The club wanted Aurélien Tchouameni, who went to Real Madrid. They wanted Robert Lewandowski, who went to Barcelona, and Milan Skriniar, who remained at Inter. PSG did not complete the transactions promised to Mbappe, and ties between the player and the club deteriorated.
Several PSG insiders claim that Mbappe was impressed and due to the team’s development after the World Cup. Kilian started to play closer to the left side, as he prefers, and this changed the striker’s attitude. However, PSG is aware that Mbappe was still eager to represent Real Madrid. At times, there were still issues between the striker and the team.
“Real Madrid is the only team that has the ability to remove him from here. Nothing is impossible in football, but according to a PSG insider, “we can ask for 400 million euros or not name a price at all.”
Real Madrid believes that due to the conditions of his current contract, as well as his influence at PSG, no club will be able to sign him. However, if the scenario changes and Mbappe becomes a “regular” player again, Real Madrid has a plan of action and money available for the deal.
