The 37-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of June after his contract with the club expired. Earlier this summer, he was strongly linked to a move to Saudi Arabia.

The MLS was also showing high interest to sign the Spanish Defender. However, Ramos has returned to Sevilla, 18 years after leaving Estadio Ramon for Real Madrid.

Following the injury to Raphael Varane, Manchester United approached the experienced centre-back, offering him a one-year contract at £73,000 per week.

According to the story, the former Spain international promptly declined the offer since he only wanted to return to Sevilla.

Ramos broke down in tears when addressing his return to Estadio Ramon, admitting that he had remorse about his departure from the club and his celebration in front of the Sevilla fans when he scored against them in 2018.

“Today is a special day.”
“I’m finally home.”
“and “I’m looking forward to putting on the Sevilla shirt and pulling on this badge,” he told Sevilla TV.

“Eighteen years have passed since I left, and I believe I made mistakes,” Sergio Ramos says.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to any Sevilla player who has been offended by things or gestures I may have made at the time.”

We’re all in the same boat, we’re all related, and there are just too many people outside to fight over.

“Talking about my grandfather makes me emotional.” I left with the image of him crying.
Finally, we’ve been Sevilla fans since we were born.

“My grandfather’s last memory is of leaving here (from the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan) and hearing people whistle for his grandson.”
