Timo Werner may leave RB Leipzig

Timo Werner’s ongoing form crisis jeopardizes his chances of competing in the European Championship at home. According to his current club, the striker may try his luck elsewhere in the future. Werner, on the other hand, had recently stated his desire to try his luck at RB Leipzig.

Timo Werner, an international footballer who is still in a sporting crisis, has been given permission by his club RB Leipzig to move during the winter transfer window. Werner can thus go on loan to another club in order to provide plenty of match practice for the German national team’s European Championship squad. Julian Nagelsmann, the national team coach, recently dropped him.

“Our player is Timo. We have great faith in his abilities and hold him in high regard as a person. Our hope is that he makes an impact at RB Leipzig. Of course, we’re talking about other options with him,” said sporting director Rouven Schröder, who, like coach Marco Rose, has been in contact with the 27-year-old. The latter, on the other hand, had recently stated that he wanted to fight his way through at RB. In addition, the club would like Werner to succeed in Leipzig.

Werner has been struggling with his form since the beginning of the season. Because new signing Los Openda is the main man in Leipzig’s attack and Yussuf Poulsen and Benjamin Sesko have taken the place of Leipzig’s record marksman, he has only made sporadic appearances. Werner is frequently injured and is currently absent due to back issues. Werner returned to Chelsea FC in the summer of 2022 for a fee of €20 million. He has not been able to improve on his 95 goals in 159 games from his first spell at RB.

“He’s going through a tough time, and we’re there for him.” It’s not always roses and sunshine. “If someone says they want to do something different, we’ll look into it,” Schröder recently stated.
