Trevoh Chalobah Transfer Update

Trevoh Chalobah refused to join Nottingham Forest

On transfer deadline day, Chelsea reportedly accepted a resubmitted proposal from Nottingham Forest for Trevoh Chalobah.

Forest attempted to outbid Bayern Munich and Tottenham with a £25 million bid. Although Chelsea accepted the offer, Chalobah preferred a loan move to Bayern, which fell through.

The Blues preferred a permanent exit for a “significant fee” over a loan agreement, which the German heavyweights were expecting to achieve. Despite signing a new contract in November, it appears Chalobah has no place in the squad due to his little playing time.

According to Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, Forest’s bid would have grown to £30 million with add-ons. And, despite staying at Stamford Bridge past the summer window, his future remains unknown.
