Napoli had a draw 0-0 with relegation-threatened Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday. But Napoli still valued Victor Osimhen’s return from injury and the end of the fan unrest more.

Osimhen had missed Napoli’s previous three games due to an injured abductor muscle in his left leg. But came on in the second half and immediately lifted the Partenopei attack by hitting the crossbar.

Osimhen was missing in action as Napoli fell to AC Milan 1-0 in the first leg of their CL quarterfinal match. He is likely to return for the 2nd leg match on Tuesday.

Previously, Bologna held Milan to a 1-1 draw.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, met with ardent “ultra” supporters prior to the game to discuss their complaints about the high cost of tickets and the new regulations governing the carrying of flags and banners inside the stadium.

Following the nearly two-hour meeting inside the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, De Laurentiis tweeted a photo of himself smiling, surrounded by 15 “ultra” leaders, with the message “We are Napoli.” President and supporters unite to win!”

The “ultras” remained silent in protest when Napoli lost to Milan 4-0 at the beginning of the month; Osimhen also missed that match. They even got into a fight with other Napoli supporters who were supporting the team.

To protect De Laurentiis from potential fan attacks, a security detail was recently assigned to him.

However, following the pre-match meeting on Saturday, the “ultras” chanted loudly throughout the game.

The loudest applause was reserved for Osimhen, who came on in the 73rd minute to replace Giacomo Raspadori at center forward.

With Osimhen controlling possession inside the area and hitting the bar with a half-volley from the edge of the area, Napoli immediately became more dangerous.

In the race for its first Serie A championship in more than three decades. Lazio defeated Spezia 3-0 on Friday, reducing the distance to Napoli to 14 points.

Verona remained in the drop zone, third from the bottom.
