Konrad Laimer has agreed to terms with FC Bayern until 2027.
Konrad Laimer has agreed to terms with Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old has completed both medicals and signed a contract extension until 2027.
That means Laimer will officially join Bayern Munich when his contract with RB Leipzig expires in the summer. Julian Nagelsmann preferred the Austrian at the Rekordmeister. Laimer will join the Bundesliga’s top team on a free transfer.
Despite a long-term injury at the start of the season, Laimer has been an important player for RB Leipzig this season, appearing in 21 games across all competitions. Laimer has played 182 games in all competitions since joining from RB Salzburg for €7 million in July 2017, scoring 13 goals and creating 19.
For a long time, it was assumed that Laimer would join Bayern Munich this summer. RB Leipzig have already signed RB Salzburg’s Nicolas Seiwald (21) as a replacement for the Austrian for €20 million.
