He earned his second club gold on Saturday when Carlo Ancelotti’s team defeated Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final.
The Brazilian has 22 direct goal involvements in Europe’s top club competition’s knockout rounds (11 goals, 11 assists), tied with Lionel Messi for the most by a player under the age of 24.
The UEFA panel also awarded Vinicius’ teammate Jude Bellingham the Best Young Player of the 2023-24 season.
In 11 Champions League matches, the 20-year-old English international scored four goals and assisted five times.
Federico Valverde’s late shot against Manchester City in a 3-3 quarter-final tie at the Santiago Bernabeu earned him the Goal of the Season accolade as well.
