Aaron Ramsdale wants to leave Arsenal

According to reports, Aaron Ramsdale has made up his mind to leave Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

In the summer of 2021, under Mikel Arteta’s tenure, the 25-year-old joined the Gunners for £30 million plus add-ons from Sheffield United, the then-championship team.

Ramsdale made a name for himself at the Emirates as the team’s first-choice stopper by appearing in all 38 Premier League games as Arsenal narrowly defeated Manchester City to win the English championship.

Following his move from Bramall Lane at the start of the 2021–22 season, the Englishman has played for the Gunners in 88 games in all competitions.

Football Insider claims that Ramsdale has decided how long he wants to stay in football after the current campaign ends.

Ramsdale ‘ready to leave’ the Gunners and desired by several teams

According to the source, the England international desires to leave the North London club during the summer transfer window, as his playing time has been somewhat curtailed this season.

Ramsdale’s career is at a crossroads, and he wants to play more top-flight games.

Ramsdale has lost his place as Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper with the arrival of David Raya on a loan-to-buy deal from fellow London club Brentford in the summer.

The four-time international has started only five Premier League games this season as Arteta’s side competes for the crown, maintaining two clean sheets.

Ramsdale last appeared for the Gunners in the FA Cup third round against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, which the North Londoners defeated 2-0.

The former Bournemouth goalkeeper has not appeared in a Premier League game since November 25th, when Raya won 1-0 at Brentford, their parent club.

Ramsdale seems to sit on the bench again in the Premier League when the Gunners visit Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United next Monday.
