Barcelona will face Real Madrid in the 2024 Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday, after defeating Osasuna 2-0 in Thursday’s second semi-final.

Real Madrid qualified for the finals with a 5-3 win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, while Barcelona set up a showdown with their biggest rivals by defeating Osasuna by two goals, with Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal scoring.

Barca is the most successful team in the competition’s history, with 14 trophies, and they are also the reigning champions, having defeated Real Madrid in last year’s final.

In the eighth minute, Barcelona had the game’s first half-chance, but Ferran Torres’ effort was deflected wide of the post, giving Osasuna an early lead in the semi-final.

Soon after, Jesus Areso had a chance down the other end. However, his strike was just wide, before Lewandowski forced a smart save from Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera in the 13th minute.

Raphinha was injured late in the first period and replaced by Yamal. Nevertheless, Osasuna would have been happy with their first half of semi-final action. Similarly, there was nothing remarkable in the last forty-five minutes.

In the 59th minute, Lewandowski finished brilliantly in the corner after being found by Gundogan.

The goal was eventually cleared, and Xavi’s side moved ahead in the last-four match.

Pedri and Joao Felix entered the game for Barcelona in the 61st and 68th minutes, respectively. In the 68th minute, Felix had an opportunity to double the lead for the Catalan team, but Herrera stopped his blow.
