Bayern fans demanded Tuchel's dismissal after their loss to Leverkusen

Bayern Munich is facing yet another dilemma after losing to Bayer Leverkusen and Lazio in the Bundesliga and Champions League, respectively. For the seventh time this century, it appears that Der Rekordmeister will not win a trophy at the end of the season.

Bayern, who are five points behind Die Werkself, do not appear to be a team ready to chase down the Meisterschale this season, while Leverkusen, led by Xabi Alonso, do not appear to be allowing the record champions a way back into the title race.

In the Champions League, even if Bayern do claw their way back into their tie against Lazio, they will still have to compete with Real Madrid and Manchester City if they want to win Europe’s most prestigious award.

Bayern may Sack Tuchel after continuous

This has put Thomas Tuchel under a lot of strain. While Bayern may be the best second-placed team in Bundesliga history at this point in the season, there are numerous calls for Der Rekordmeister to replace the 50-year-old this summer.

A recent Bild poll revealed Tuchel’s popularity (or lack thereof). With 370,000 participants, 82% voted against Tuchel, indicating that he is no longer the best candidate for the top post at Bayern.

Xabi Alonso and Hansi Flick are the two favourites to succeed Tuchel in the summer, but it is unclear who will lead the Bavarian giants next season. However, Bayern officials remain confident in Tuchel, with Sporting Director Christoph Freund expressing his support for the head coach following Wednesday’s defeat to Lazio:

“We’re all in the same boat.” It’s not easy today, but we’ll get through it together; that’s our main goal.”

Whether Bayern decides to replace the former Chelsea manager or not, fans clearly do not believe in Tuchel’s abilities. The forthcoming games against Bochum and RB Leipzig will be critical for Tuchel, and if he is to continue in charge, he must steer Bayern through the next two weeks in a positive manner.
