Burnley have reached a deal with PSV Eindhoven for Shurandy Sambo’s free transfer.
The 22-year-old right-back will sign a four-year contract at Turf Moor before making the move this summer.
Shurandy Sambo worked his way up through PSV’s junior academy before making his senior debut in 20/21. The Netherlands U21 international spent last season on loan with Sparta Rotterdam, where he played 36 games as Sparta finished sixth in the Eredivisie. His pace and ability to go up the pitch to assist in attack have piqued the interest of several clubs, but Burnley has emerged victorious in the race for the promising defender.
Sambo is likely to depart PSV this summer for a free transfer to Vincent Kompany’s side. It might be a great financial decision for the relegation-threatened Premier League team, as Sambo has demonstrated that he has plenty of potential. Shurandy Sambo, who has made just nine appearances for PSV this season, will go to England.
