Ciro Immobile is expected to leave Serie A heavyweight Lazio this summer, and a move to Saudi Arabia is certain.

Ciro Immobile 'likely to depart from S.S. Lazio this summer'

Ciro Immobile, Lazio’s captain, could eventually leave the capital club in the summer, with Inter Milan apparently keeping an eye on the situation.

The 34-year-old has established himself as one of the most lethal bombs in his generation.

The Juventus youth product has won four Capocannoniere (Serie A top scorer) trophies in his career, three of which came when he was with the Aquile.

However, many say the player’s abilities are fading, considering his dropping score records.

This season, the Euro 2020 team has only scored ten goals in all competitions, with several coming from the penalty spot.

Immobile now has a new challenge: he must convince new Lazio coach Igor Tudor in order to retain his starting berth over the younger Taty Castellanos.

But, according to Il Messaggero via FcInterNews, the Italian may be considering a change of scenery now more than ever.

The same applies for Lazio, who will explore bids for their captain this summer. The striker joined the club in 2016 and has a contract that runs until 2026.

So, according to the insider, Inter remains on standby. The Nerazzurri have previously tested the waters with the experienced forward.

Immobile would have the opportunity to reunite with his old coach, Simone Inzaghi, at Appiano Gentile.

Aside from Inter, the situation is being monitored by Saudi Pro League clubs.

Immobile began his career at Juventus’ youth ranks. He had a variety of experiences during his formative years, ranging from successful spells to forgettable campaigns.

He rose to prominence in 2013/14, winning his first Capocannoniere trophy while with Torino.

This resulted in two abroad experiences, with Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla. Despite failing to impress abroad, he eventually returned to Serie A.
