Ciro Immobile suffers thigh injury

Ciro Immobile suffered a significant injury to the semitendinosus of his right thigh during Lazio’s game against Empoli, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. It is difficult to predict a recovery time for this type of injury, but the initial treatment period is around 15-20 days, and he will be fully fit in at least a month.

The Biancocelesti confirmed the player’s tests at the Paideia International Hospital today in an official statement. “The tests revealed a distracting trauma to the semitendinosus of the right thigh reported during the match against Empoli,” the report stated.

The player has already begun specific treatment and will be monitored clinically on a daily basis. Further instrumental tests will be performed in the coming days to determine recovery times.”

Maurizio Sarri’s men won 2-0 at the Stadio Carlo Castellani thanks to goals from Matteo Guendouzi and Mattia Zaccagni, but they will be without their star striker for some time. Immobile started the game but was forced to leave early due to discomfort.

Lazio have a busy schedule ahead of them, including games against Napoli and Atalanta. However, Sarri is confident that he can create the right attacking impetus even without his star player.
