Erik ten Hag | Manchester United have reportedly decided to fire the head coach when the 2023-24 season ends.
The 54-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until June of next year, but given to the club’s problems this season, there is extensive conjecture over his future.
Manchester United, who lost 4-0 at Crystal Palace on Monday evening, are ninth in the Premier League table and will miss out on European participation in 2024-25.
However, the Red Devils may still complete the season with domestic silverware, as they face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 25.
According to a recent rumor, Manchester United would not sack Ten Hag ahead of the FA Cup final, despite having league games against Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Brighton & Hove Albion remaining until the conclusion of the season.

However, Football Insider reports that a decision has been made to relieve him of his duties at the end of the season.
According to the article, even a win over Manchester City in the FA Cup final would not guarantee the Dutchman’s management status for the 2024-25 season.
Ten Hag took over as manager of Manchester United in the summer of 2022. With Ajax, he had already won two Dutch Cups and three Eredivisie championships.
Since joining Manchester United, the Dutchman has won 63, drawn 17, and lost 30 of his 110 matches, for a win percentage of slightly more than 57%.
Ten Hag led the Red Devils to the EFL Cup championship last season, in addition to finishing third in the Premier League ranking and reaching the FA Cup final.

However, Man United has struggled this season, and Ten Hag was scathing of his players’ effort levels against Palace on Monday, which resulted in a 4-0 defeat.
“This is clearly and obviously underperforming. We did not act in the way we wanted to, and it was far from satisfactory. We are extremely upset, but the supporters have always been behind us, and we will continue to fight, just like they have. I was very appreciative to the fans. “They support us,” he told reporters following the match.
“They see that we too have challenges. You need to stick together. You must take responsibility. The crowd showed us wonderful support. Manchester United should perform better. The players who were available deserved to do better. It’s a deserved defeat.
“The performance didn’t meet our expectations. There are always reasons why we aren’t good enough. Everyone can see our backline; we have major issues, but at the end of the day, we must deal with it. We should have performed better than we did.”
Bayern Munich are thought to have expressed an interest in hiring Ten Hag as their new manager, with Thomas Tuchel perhaps heading in the opposite direction to Old Trafford.
