Jadon Sancho has been given the go-ahead to travel to Borussia Dortmund for his medical ahead of his six-month loan move from Manchester United.
After the transfer appeared to hit a snag last week, both Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United made a breakthrough in negotiations. Sancho was expected to arrive in Marbella for Dortmund’s training camp on Friday, according to reports, but negotiations broke down at that point.
However, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United have reached an agreement for a six-month loan with no purchase option. BVB will also pay a portion of Sancho’s salary, bringing the total package to a reported €4 million.
If Sancho can regain his Dortmund form, it’s a win-win situation for all parties. As previously stated by Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag, Sancho will not play a role at the club for the duration of his tenure at Old Trafford. Sancho started the first three Premier League games for Manchester United this season before being dropped.
