Last month, the 18-year-old earned his senior debut in the Premier League against Luton Town, winning 4-1.

The teenager came off the bench in the Carabao Cup final, as his side defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.

Danns has also scored 21 youth goals for Liverpool’s Under-18s and Under-21s this season, in addition to two frist-team goals.

Danns’ father, Neil Danns, a former Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Bolton Wanderers midfielder, told The Athletic of his son: “You can make mistakes, whether on or off the field.

“Having been a player for 22 years, I’m always willing to do whatever I see or think may help him. But all I want is for him to live out his dreams.

A new long-term deal with better conditions is an appropriate reward for Danns’ spectacular rise this season.

Rewind two months and the young striker, who has been with Liverpool since the age of eight, was still considered a member of the club’s under-18s group.

Following his promotion to first-team practice at Anfield in January, he impressed Jurgen Klopp with his talent and attitude.

In the span of one spectacular week in late February, he made his debut off the bench against Luton Town, made a lively cameo in the Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea, and scored twice in front of the Kop in the FA Cup victory against Southampton.

It’s little surprise that the happy youngster characterized himself as “living the dream”. Earlier this month, he also played in the thrilling Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.

Due to injuries to senior players, he was promoted ahead of schedule, but Danns, who has scored 21 goals at academy level this season, has taken advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities.

Liverpool has a policy of not handing young players too much too soon, although they do issue contract extensions on a regular basis to acknowledge noteworthy growth.

Danns’ new contract demonstrates how far he has come and how highly the club values a striker with so much promise.
