Real Madrid 'won't allow Mbappe compete in the Paris Olympics'

Kylian Mbappé will be unable to compete in the Paris Olympics this summer if he joins Real Madrid, after the club informed the French Football Federation that none of their players would be permitted to represent the country.

As previously reported, Real Madrid has chosen not to allow any of their players to compete in the Paris Olympics 2024 this summer.

Given that the UEFA Euro 2024 will take place immediately before the Olympics, Los Blancos are concerned about injuries and tiredness, and will deny the players permission to compete in the competition.

This decision will have an impact on several players, notably Kylian Mbappe, who is likely to join Real Madrid. The French superstar is poised to depart PSG for the Spanish capital club this summer, when his contract ends.

Real Madrid refuses to allow its players to participate in the Paris Olympics

With the Olympics taking place in Paris, Mbappe was said to be excited to compete and represent his country at the prestigious tournament.

However, with Real Madrid reluctant to let him go, L’Equipe says that the 25-year-old French forward is willing to accept the club’s decision and not compete in the Olympics.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner understands Real Madrid’s decision and will not insist that the club let him to compete in the Olympics in his own country.

Real Madrid CF, for their part, has legitimate concerns about the issue, as a number of players will compete in the Euros or the Copa America immediately preceding the Olympics.

Participating in back-to-back international competitions with no break after a long season and no rest before the new season would be disastrous for both the player and the team.

Kylian Mbappe, for his part, understands the issue and will not put any pressure on the Merengues about it.
