Lazio are expected to name former Verona and Marseille manager Igor Tudor as their next manager.
Sarri resigned from S.S. Lazio due to continuous losses.
Maurizio Sarri has resigned from his position at the Roman club, and Giovanni Martusciello has been appointed interim manager. But the club held negotiations with Tudor today, and it appears that substantial progress has been achieved.
Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed that Tudor will be Lazio’s next manager. The two parties have struck a deal, and the former Marseille boss will sign a one-and-a-half-year contract. Further and final specifics of the agreement will be worked out following the club’s forthcoming game against Frosinone, where Martusciello will be in control.
A meeting was held earlier today, with Lazio CEO Claudio Lotito in attendance, and significant progress was made in the endeavor to reach an agreement. Instead of waiting until the end of the season, Tudor will take over as manager soon, but only after the upcoming game in Serie A.
