The Anfield-based club have secured an agreement with their dependable full-back after weeks of negotiations and conversations. The Greek player has signed a contract extension with the Premier League club until the summer of 2027.

The player acknowledged his joy upon signing a new contract with the club.
“I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract”, he added.

“I feel like all of my sacrifices and other things, as well as the work I put in, have paid off.” According to sources, Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Merseyside club, was eager to secure the player’s services for the foreseeable future.

The six-time Champions League champions signed the “excellent” defender in the summer of 2020. He joined from Olympiacos in Greece, and Liverpool paid a fee in the region of £11.75 million to obtain his talents. When the club’s first-choice left-back, Andy Robertson, has been absent, the Greece international has stepped up. Tsimikas has been a reliable backup option for Klopp since his signing.

The 27-year-old’s most famous moment with the Reds came in 2022, when he stepped up to score the winning penalty in the FA Cup final shootout against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium. He has appeared in 63 Premier League games for the club, recording 12 assists.
