He joined from Olympiacos in Greece, and Liverpool paid a fee in the region of £11.75 million to obtain his talents. When the club’s first-choice left-back, Andy Robertson, has been absent, the Greece international has stepped up. Tsimikas has been a reliable backup option for Klopp since his signing.
The 27-year-old’s most famous moment with the Reds came in 2022, when he stepped up to score the winning penalty in the FA Cup final shootout against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium. He has appeared in 63 Premier League games for the club, recording 12 assists.
