Mathjis de Ligt will be eager to get plenty of playing time before the Netherlands compete in Euro 2024 in Germany this summer, so he can earn a spot on the plane and in the starting eleven.
A loan deal with the option to buy in the summer could be preferable for both de Ligt and Arsenal, but Bayern may be willing to keep him at least until the end of the season given the limited time to bring in a replacement and the depth required in the squad to win the big competitions right now.
