Les Parisiens are now in a quandary over the future of their valued asset. Mbappé has said that he would not exercise his one-year contract extension with the Ligue 1 winners, which means he will be a free agent in 2024. PSG no longer intends to be at the mercy of Mbappé’s ambitions and has offered him the option of renewing his contract or leaving the club this summer to allow the club a massive transfer price. Mbappé, on the other hand, has intimated on multiple occasions that he will extend his contract until 2024.

Another reason Mbappé might stay at PSG for a seventh consecutive season is that he is owed a €90 million loyalty bonus in September.
According to Foot Mercato, all parties involved – Real Madrid, PSG, and Mbappé – have distinct timetables and are willing to wait. Les Parisiens have no intention of making the initial move towards Real Madrid since it would make them seem weak. According to the French newspaper, if Mbappé is sold this summer, PSG would want between €180 million and €200 million.
