Nepal wins ACC U-19 Premier Cup title

Nepali cricket has given all sports fans a wonderful present for Dashain: the ACC U-19 Premier Cup victory.

Nepalese Cricekt Team has won the title by a score of 20 runs over UAE in the final on Tuesday.

After rain disrupted the play at the Bayumas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Uae was given a revised target of 198 runs in 27 overs.

Uae were dismissed for 178 in 26.4 overs. Nepal was undefeated throughout the tournament to win the title, and they completely earned it.

After the rain stopped in the final, UAE batted energetically, putting Nepal under strain early on. Nepal, on the other hand, did admirably in both bowling and fielding.

Earlier, with the support of captain Dev Khanal’s century, the Nepali Team amassed 280 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Dev set a century-point record for Nepali team. He used 92 balls to score 100 runs. He made three sixes and nine fours. His third century for Nepal in U-19 competitions and second in this tournament.

Dev got away thanks to Harit Shetty’s support. He also became the first batsman for Nepal in U-19 during this time to score three centuries. Two wickets had been lost for 14 runs by Nepal. In contrast to Akash Tripathi, who was unable to open the account, Deepak Bohara scored five runs.

Dev has established a 125-run partnership with opener Arjun Kumal since then. Arjunal hit four fours and scored 55 runs off 78 balls. Uttar Rana Magar contributed 57 runs near the finish. In 67 balls, he hit four fours and a six. Deepak Dumre chipped in with 27 runs in 28 balls.

Harit was the most effective UAE bowler, taking five wickets for 36 runs in seven overs.
