The Argentine forward has agreed to terms with Fiorentina on a long-term contract after the Italian club turned down Premier League interest in him last summer.
Brentford were among the clubs keen to sign Gonzalez last summer, paying more than €40 million (£36m/$43m) for the youngster, who broke into the Argentinian national team picture in September. He has two goals and an assist in four Serie A appearances this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the attacker signed a long-term contract deal with Fiorentina after rejecting Premier League interest in August.
Nico Gonzalez is recovering from a knock suffered in the Europa Conference League last Thursday, but he expect to be available when his team travels to Frosinone later this week.
